Autumn retreat weekend at Søsætra with Maja & Pia

In mid-November, when nature retreats and darkness invites silence, we open a space to turn inward. This is a weekend to calm down, listen more deeply, and strengthen the connection with what carries us – the heart, body, and soul.

Together we create a safe and intimate space where you can land, explore and give yourself what you may be longing for in a busy everyday life: time, presence and contact.

The weekend is led by Maja Thune, founder of Love as Medicine, and Pia Maria Kozlowski – one of Norway’s most experienced vinyasa teachers. Together we combine the soft, therapeutic and the more powerful, with a common grounding in presence, integrity and deep respect for the processes that can occur in such a space.

Detailed schedule:

Friday evening – Arrival, landing and soft opening

We start the weekend with a calm and nourishing evening that helps you land – both in your body and in yourself. Through soft yoga, you are guided into calm movements that release tension and invite the nervous system to calm down. We follow up with a meditative practice that opens up for presence and contact with what is alive in you right now.

There will also be room for journaling – a quiet invitation to write from the inside, without a filter. You can explore simple questions or let the words come freely.

The evening is held at a soft, safe pace – as a transition from everyday life and into the weekend's immersion.

Theme: Landing, softening and opening

Saturday – Immersion, movement and integration

Saturday provides space for a deeper journey, through several practices that support both contact, energy and integration.

Morning – silence, breath and clarity

We start the day in silence with meditation and pranayama (breath work). This is an opportunity to face the day from a calmer and more centered place, and open up to clarity and presence.

Morning – vinyasa yoga flow with Pia

After breakfast, Pia leads a lively and flowing yoga vinyasa session, which is slow and deep. With her long experience and safe presence, she creates a foundation for exploring the body's inner landscape through creative practice that both raises awareness, opens and strengthens. Here we invite synchrony between breath and movement - so that the flow that arises goes through the body's many layers. This is an opportunity to awaken the body, create awareness, and release tension from a safe and strengthened foundation while remaining deeply rooted in yourself.

Afternoon – Soft yoga, creativity and inner listening with Maja. In the afternoon we return to the softer space.

Through calm yoga, mindfulness, breathing and guided presence, you are invited to listen more deeply inward. Here we also open up for creative expression – such as drawing, free movement to music or intuitive exploration.

Journaling will be an important part of this session, where you can write from the heart and give shape to what moves within you.

We end the day with a circle, silence and the opportunity to share (for those who want) so that you can land what you have experienced throughout the day. This is an important part of the process – to make room for insights and experiences to take hold and become a part of you.

The evening is characterized by calm, closeness and community.

Theme: To integrate, rest and be

Sunday – Clarity, direction and new beginnings

Sunday invites you to a soft, but at the same time clear end to the weekend – where we look forward and take with us what has opened up.

After a weekend of immersion, rest and contact, we now create space to listen to what wants to live on within you.

Morning – Meditation, heart–brain coherence and inner vision

We start the day in silence with a guided meditation inspired by the work of Joe Dispenza, with a focus on heart–brain coherence.

Through breathing, presence and attention to the heart, you are invited to create a deeper connection between body, emotions and consciousness. Here we open up for contact with your inner resources – and with what longs for you.

The meditation will also include a soft exploration of dreams, longings and visions – an invitation to let something start to take shape, from within.

Morning – vinyasa yoga with Pia

After breakfast we gather for the last physical practice of the weekend.

Pia guides a calm deep yoga vinyasa session where we continue to navigate into the landscape of the body through synchrony between breath and movement. With her steady and good guidance, she creates a safe space where we can now let go of old programming, protection mechanisms and outdated structures that no longer support us but prevent us from moving forward. Here we are rebuilt, and with the clarity from the morning meditation we allow our inner longings and visions to gain power.

This session becomes a bridge between the inner work and life outside – an opportunity to elicit and feel our inherent power through movement flow, channeling of breath, focus and presence in the body.

Ending

We round off the weekend with a simple and calm end, where what you have been through can land.

We warmly welcome you!

Perhaps you will leave here with:

a deeper connection with yourself

a greater peace in your body

or a clearer direction forward

Whatever you take with you, the intention is that you will leave here a little more in touch with what is true for you – with a calmer nervous system, and with an experience that love, also in the encounter with yourself, can be a force that heals and carries.
