On Saturday March 29th I look forward to guide you in A Restorative Spa Spa with Backmitra workshop at Oslo Yoga. You are welcome to join!

Welcome

In my restorative classes with Backmitra, the focus is on peeling off all layers of tension, stiffness, pain, protection and overstretched muscles - and activating the core within us. To allow  the movement to come from the core. Backmitra is a wonderfully soft and supportive tool used to help us loosen up stiff shoulders, necks, chest and thoracic spine!

 

Through mindfulness, deep breathing and calm movements, we come into contact with the part of the nervous system (parasympathetic) which helps the body to restore itself, and which makes us calm, happy, satisfied  and happy- even though life outside of the mat may not be completely perfect! We use Backmitra to release the grip on muscles that we have tensed so much that we have lost contact with them. The muscles that we can't turn off even though they scream for relaxation!

 

“Mitra” in Sanskrit means friend, and it really is a good back friend! It is done quite simply by just lying on it and making slow movements with the arms. It helps us get to the core, get in touch with our essence and inner power again, and move in the right direction in our lives. From the heart! 

 

By giving space and attention to all the layers in ourselves - even those that we would rather not know - our shadow side - we learn to accept. Then the rush in the head lets up a little, and we hear messages from the heart a little louder. When we give attention to our hearts,  the vibration and frequency in us increases. Life force can bubble up from the depths and we generally feel better about ourselves. Both physically, mentally and emotionally. It is a release of old energi to give space to new energy!

What to expect

n this workshop, you will get to experience completely relaxing your neck, shoulders, arms and pectoral back muscles. You will get to know Backmitra well and how to use it in a gentle and calm way to support the body's healing and detoxification process.

 

We always start with mindfulness, breathing and calm movement - to get in touch with the areas we need to strengthen and the areas we need to soften and relax in the body. We prepare and support the body for Backmitra! It works on deep muscles, and helps us to restore the optimal curvature of the back.

BackMmtra helps us maintain a straight posture with optimal movement and strength!

It is perhaps why w call it the best anti-age for our spine!

Who can benefit from this workshop?

Absolutely everyone over 20 years of age who needs to unwind a bit. 

You don't need to have done any yoga before, the exercises are simple. Works just as well for those who never move as for those who move 

all the time and does plenty of yoga and/or other exercises. 

Beneficial for this who sits a lot and works on a computer, and people that have physical jobs, lifts, exercises, dances, etc.

Prevents and helps against slipped discs, sciatica, lumbago, "frozen shoulder" tension headaches, etc. 

Note: If you have active prolapse, you should wait with Backmitra
